The Art of Nostalgia

The Art of Nostalgia is a magazine/art exhibit that explores the role and function of nostalgia in art. The piece also analyzes the internet art movement known as vaporwave which has a very strong emphasis on invoking a sense of nostalgia. This piece compares this new art movement to ones from the past such as impressionism and by doing so, explores how artists use nostalgia in their art. We also learn about the emotion of nostalgia itself, which is often times misunderstood. This curation of nostalgia based art is displayed alongside information on nostalgia, it’s effects, and general information about the art styles.
